It’s already been talked about as one of the greatest Major League Baseball performances in its history, and the man at the center of it all — Japanese-born star Shohei Ohtani — is being compared to the all-time legend, Babe Ruth.
I think the conversation is over? Catch this in your glove: As a pitcher, Ohtani struck out the side to open the game against the Milwaukee Brewers, then — as a hitter — walked to the plate and smashed a 446-foot home run that nearly left Dodger Stadium. This is a great way to start the game.
And it wasn’t just a random game in the middle of a long, 162-game season. No, it was Game 4 of the NLCS, and the finals victory over the Ohtani-led Brewers sent the Los Angeles Dodgers to their second straight World Series.

However, it was far from finished. Ohtani went on to pitch six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits with 10 strikeouts — and hit two more home-run bombs to seal the deal. The Dodgers won 5-1 and will go on to face the winner of the Toronto Blue Jays-Seattle Mariners series.

He is also the first MLB player ever to have more hits (3) than hits allowed (2) in a postseason pitching start and the first player to hit a leadoff homer as a pitcher (regular season or postseason).
What makes it even better is that Ohtani is known for being very kind and humble, Team oriented guy Who is not above making a joke or two on his colleagues here or there. It’s always nice to see a good guy finish first.

Even if you’re not a baseball fan, this will be an unforgettable night. It’s hard to see anyone surpassing him anytime soon.
I happened to be vacationing in Tokyo in August, and Shohei’s picture was already on almost every billboard and sign you could see. I can only imagine the celebrations going on there tonight.
