
The Justice Department joined the Republican campaign to discredit Saturday’s “No Kings” protests, going so far as to call the event an attempt to “destabilize” the U.S. government.
The “No to Kings” protests — which last swept the country in June — protest the monarchical nature of Trump’s presidency by invoking the nation’s founding. They are also outspoken name Nonviolence as their “fundamental principle.”
But Republicans will do it Can you believe it? The protests scheduled for Saturday are “hate America” rallies attended by terrorists, Hamas supporters and anti-fascists. GOP officials have also baselessly accused Democratic lawmakers of prolonging the government shutdown to appease these supposed extremists.
Now joining the Fearmongers is a senior Justice Department official, Mother K. Dillon, Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Civil Rights Division, World Health Organization. to caution called the gathering “not your average protest” in an ominous X Friday post.
“It’s led by the people who shut down your government and prevented hundreds of thousands of federal employees from getting paid,” Dillon continued, referring to Democratic politicians.
“Be careful and be fully aware of what’s going on here,” she continued. “Attempts to gaslight the public and destabilize our government.”
Dillon was responding to A tweet From Laura Loomer, the MAGA advocate, who, in a typically inflammatory record, conflated “no kings” with “political violence.”
