Officials announced on Tuesday that the prosecutors would seek the death penalty for Tyler Robinson, the 22 -year -old, who is accused of killing political activist Charlie Kirk with one shot at the University of Utah Valley.
“I am not making this decision slightly,” said Utah County. Jeffrey Gray during a press conference. “It is an independent decision as a boycott lawyer.”
Gray said that Robinson had been charged with seven charges, including one charge of strict killing and two accusations of obstructing justice, of allegedly hiding the gun used to kill and dispose of his clothes.
Robinson also faces two charges of tampering with witnesses after he instructed his colleague in the room to delete the texts that criminalize, and asked them not to speak to investigators whether the authorities had responded to them.
At a press conference on Tuesday, Gray detailed how Robinson’s parents came for the first time that their son might have been the shooter after publicly fired photos from the university. Gray also provided details about the exchange of text between Robinson and his colleague in the room, a person who moves to a female in a romantic way, in which Robinson apparently confessed to death.
According to Gray’s exchange, Robinson’s partner seemed to have no knowledge that Robinson had taken a gun and plans to shoot for about a week.
“You weren’t the person who did that, right?” Robinson’s colleague Robinson wrote after the shooting, according to Gray.
“I am sorry,” Robinson replied, according to Gray.
Gray said that while local and federal officials looked for the gunman, he claimed that Robinson wrote his partner, explaining his decision to kill Kirk.
“Why?” His partner, who was not recognized by Gray, Robinson’s text message.
“Why did you do that?” Robinson responded.
“Yes”, the roommate answered, according to Gray.
“I had enough hatred,” Robinson replied. “Some hatred cannot be negotiated.”
Kirk, 31, was an influential figure in the conservative and rightful circles, and won the praise of his views on hot topics, including abortion, immigration and sexual identity.
His death was shocked by one shot during a participation that spoke at the University of Utah last week, and led to a strong debate about the motives of his accused killer.
At the first court hearing on Tuesday, Robinson appeared in front of Judge Tony Grave, wearing what appears to be a suicide bombing.
After appearing by feeding the video from Utah County Prison, Robinson stared at the camera and only spoke when the judge asked him to mention his name.
During the hearing, Graf found that Robinson was “Maoun” and to protect his defense.
Robinson’s graphics ordered that he kept without sponsorship until the next hearing on September 29.
The FBI said that a screwdriver collection contains Robinson’s DNA on the roof of a building at Utah Valley University and a wrapped firearm in a towel that was ignored in a nearby explosive area. The FBI director, Cash Patel, said the towel had DNA for Robinson, adding that the firearm was still being treated for criminal evidence.
During the press conference on Tuesday, Gray indicated that Kirk was killed as a “American tragedy”.
Gray said: “Like all the murders, if taking the life of Charlie Kirk, which is meaningless and unnecessarily, has destroyed the life of those who left them,” Gray said.
Gray said that the authorities led to Robinson by his parents, including his mother, who first recognized him from the photos that were released to the audience from the suspected shooter. Then the pictures were shown to her husband, who agreed that the person resembles his son, according to Gray.
Robinson’s mother told the investigators that last year, her son became “more political and began to tend more to the left, to become more supportive of gay and equipping rights.”
He said: “I mentioned that Robinson started the history of his colleague in the room.”
Gray said that Robinson also spoke to his parents about Kirk’s visit to the Question of Utah, and accused Kerk of “spreading hatred.”
Gray said that the Venice had given him his father to Robinson as a gift. He doubts that his son was involved in the shooting.
Gray said that when his parents faced him, Robinson confessed to death and said he was considering killing himself.
Gray said: “Robinson guaranteed that he was the shooter and did not want to go to prison.” “When asked why he did, Robinson explained,” There is a lot of evil, and the man, referring to Kirk, “a lot of hatred is spread.”
Gray also said that the ammunition launched was engraved by the suspect.
Text messages, which were delivered to the investigators by his colleague in the room, revealed that Robinson was engraved as a “great mim”.
Gray said that the investigators had recovered four cartridges, including the tour that was spent on Kirk. He said this cover is engraved with “Bulge Owo Signs What is this?”
A second was engraved with “Hey Fascist Catch” and the third with “OH Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Bella Ciao, Ciao, CIAO.” The fourth was listed with “If you read this, you are LMAO gay.”

Since Robinson was scheduled to appear before the court for the first time, Patel appeared before the American Judicial Senate Committee, where he faced harsh interrogation and criticism about his dealings with the agency and the immediate investigation into Kirk’s killing.
Senator Dick Durbin from Illinois, the largest Democrats in the committee, accused Patel of issuing incorrect information about shooting in order to obtain the credit for detention.
Durbin said in his opening notes on Tuesday: “The director Patel again sparked great confusion by incorrectly claiming on social media that the shooter was in the reservation – which was forced to walk with another on social media,” Durbin said in his opening notes on Tuesday. “Mr. Patel was very eager to find the murderer of Mr. Kirk to the point that he violated one of the basics of effective law enforcement: in the critical stages of the investigation, formulation, and allowing professionals to work.”
But the Senator John Cornene (R-Texas) defended Patel treatment with the Kirk probe.
Corn said: “I have not seen any reason to criticize Qorsbbeck with an arms.” “I mean, it took nearly 33 hours to arrest the murderer. And you know, there is always a certain fog that is in line with emergency situations like this. So I first know that they thought they had their leg, but they were not sacrificed.”
During the hearing, Battle said that the investigators had an interview with many people associated with propson, including relatives, friends and partner.
Patel confirmed that Robinson’s partner was moving from male to female.
He added that the logic behind the inscriptions on the coincidence of the coincidence is still under investigation.
Officials are still studying if “anyone involved as a partner”.
Patel said that the agents were conducting an interview with the people who interacted with the suspect online.
This includes a dispute chat that appears to include more than 20 people after the shooting.
“We are running them all,” Patel said.
He said that the FBI will “investigate anyone and all the participants in the dispute chat.”
