Disney, Warner Bros Discovery and NBCUNIVERSAL have taken a bold step by filing a lawsuit against the Chinese artificial intelligence company Minimax.
This case, which was brought to a federal court in California, accused the company of stealing some of the most famous personalities in Hollywood to feed from the Hailuo AI.
In the lawsuit, the studios said that Hailuo Ai was like the “Hollywood Studio in your pocket” because it could immediately create pictures and clips of the beloved characters.
However, they argued that Minimax built its works “from the stolen intellectual property of the Hollywood studios like the plaintiffs.”
Examples of artificial intelligence included Darith Vader’s photos simply of written claims.
The complaint described Minimax’s actions as “deliberate and insolent” and said that the company ignored the repeated stoppage and messages.
He added that although the company uses tools to prevent nudity or violence, it deliberately refused to use similar filters to protect the copyright content.

She included Disney Marvel, Lucasfy and Twentieth Century Fox. Warner Bros Discovery named DC Comics, Cartoon Network and Hanna Barbera. NBCuniversal added Dreamworks. They warned together that Minimax practices were not only harmful to them, but also a threat to the broader creative industry.
“The Bootleging business model in Minimax and the challenge of the Copyright Law in the United States represents … a broader threat to the American animation industry,” said the file.
In a unified statement, studios showed that they supported progress in artificial intelligence but not at the expense of creators. “The lawsuit today against Minimax shows our joint commitment to the accountability of those who violate the laws of copyright, wherever they are.”
Minimax, which is worth four billion dollars, has not commented more than 157 million users worldwide, on the case so far.
