According to director Chris Air, Redford was a joy to work with a group of dark winds. Air said: “Bob is very nice and was very nice a day, and George was so,” said Air.
The scene was shot on a closed group at the request of Redford, and although a brief appearance, Redford prepared a line to Martin during the chess game: “George, the whole world is waiting.”
The bidder John describes the experience of working with Redford as “one of his most prominent” career.
“Bob, like me, is a little older, and I was afraid that he would be tired and we were taking a lot of time, but in the shooting process, I saw him taking a deep breath and Robert Redford became in front of my eyes.”

Redford was 89 years old. He passed peacefully in Utah, among his loved ones.
