NASA will host a remote media conference at 11 am on Wednesday, September 10, to discuss an analysis of a rock that was taken by Mars Rover at the agency last year, which is the subject of an upcoming scientific paper.
The sample, called “Sapphire Canyon”, was collected in July 2024 from a group of rock bumps on the edges of NERETVA Vallis, the valley of a river carved with water that accelerates to the Jezero hole for a long time.

Since landing in the Jezero Red Planet hole in February 2021, the perseverance was collected 30 samples.
