The best 6 customizations for Chromebook

The virtual Chromebook facade looks boring and is not improved for efficiency. With a few quick adjustments, though, you can customize it to reflect your style and make navigation smooth. Here are some changes in the user interface that I use that improve the Chromebook experience – and I recommend you to try it as well.

Transfer/automatic on the shelf

Just like a Windows taskbar that contains installed applications, open windows, and a fast tool, Chromeos contains a shelf, which is located at the bottom of the screen by default. If you want to save the vertical space, you can move the shelf to the left or right side. Simply click on the right mouse on it, select the “shelf position”, and choose your favorite site.

Chromeos also provides a useful advantage for cars. When you are enabled, the shelf remains hidden in a full screen and appears only when the index is transferred to its edge, where it is an easy way to increase the screen space to the maximum. To use this feature, right -click on the shelf and select “Autohide Shell”.

5

PIN/UNPIN applications on the shelf

Perhaps customizing the most suitable user interface is to install your most used apps on the shelf. Always with them visible, you will not need to search the launcher every time. On the other hand, if the shelf appears with many applications, you can easily cancel the additions to exhaust the shelf and access your applications more quickly.

To fix the application used frequently on the shelf, click the circuit icon in the lower left corner to open the operator. Find the application from the offered app (or use the search bar to find), then right -click its icon and choose “Pin to Shell”.

Repeat the user application frequently on the shelf on the chromosome.

To remove an app from the shelf, just right -click on the app icon on the shelf and select “UNPIN”. Likewise, you can keep the operator controls or files and folders used frequently on the shelf for easy access.

Cancel the implementation of an application of the shelf in the chromosome.

4

Switching between light and dark topics

By default, Chromeos uses a light theme, which looks clean and bright during the day but can strain your eyes in low -light environments. To make your experience more comfortable, you can continue to use the light feature in well lit settings to take a fragile look, but switch to the dark feature at night to reduce eye stress and even provide some battery life.

The good news is that Chromeos provides an option to automatically switch between light and dark themes based on the time of today, so you do not need to continue to control it yourself. To enable it, click the watch icon in the lower right corner and open “settings”. Then go to “wallpaper and style”, click “Set the background and style”, and select the “Auto” option.

Change the chromosome theme in the settings.

3

Change the size of the mouse and color index

The mouse index is one of the most obvious elements on your screen, so its customization is an important part of customizing your user interface. You can do this in two main ways: First, by increasing its size to facilitate its location – especially useful if you have difficulties in vision – and secondly, by changing its color either to different backgrounds or better match your style.

To adjust the size of the indicator, click the watch icon in the right right corner, then the gear icon to open the settings. From there, go to accessibility> Index and touch painting. Use the scrolling tape to increase (or decrease) the size of the indicator. Likewise, open the “Cursor Color” list to choose a new color instead of virtual.

Change the size of the indicator and color in the chromosome.

If the scrolling tape does not appear to the indicator size or is gray, enable the change of “showing the large mouse index” to cancel the adjustment lock.

2

Adjustment of the offer

If the Chromebook has a smaller screen or if you are struggling with poor eyesight, you can adjust the display and the size of the text to improve the ability to read. Display Zoom changes the scale of everything – Apps, text, windows and menus – which makes the entire interface easier to see it.

To adjust the width enlarge, click the watch in the right right corner, open the settings by clicking the gear icon, and go to the device> display. Use the scrolling tape “display and text size” to enlarge or out as needed.

Change the display and the size of the text in Chromebook settings.

If you spend long hours on your Chromebook or deal with a lot of text, this simple modification can really improve reading, reduce eye stress, and helps you focus.

Set the update wallpaper daily

One of the easiest ways to maintain the desktop of the Chromebook book is to change the wallpaper of the walls daily. Instead of manually switched it, the chromos can rotate the backgrounds for you from Google’s coordinated image collections. All you have to do is choose your favorite group, and Chromeos will take care of the rest.

To get your Chromebook, greeting you a new wallpaper every day, enable the daily update feature. Right -click on the desktop, choose “Set Wallpaper & Style”, browse the available groups, choose your favorite, and enable “change daily”. Chromeos will then rotate backgrounds from that group automatically.

Choose a wallpaper and put it to change daily in the chromosome.

The application of this disk not only makes my bookbook more personal, but also makes it more efficient and comfortable in use. If you are using your device with its default settings, think about these modifications – you may be surprised by the improvement of the appearance and functioning of your work. If you are not satisfied with the change, you can return easily.
