Myanmar army announced the first phase of the general elections that will be held in late December, in a widespread opinion poll as an attempt to legitimize JUNTA after its coup for 2021.

The state -run state television said that the elections will take place over three separate days, with the first decision on December 28. The following two phases are expected to occur at some time in January, although specific dates are not announced due to “security concerns”. Voting will be held in more than 300 countries in the country – including some areas currently under the control of the rebels.

The opponents see the upcoming elections as “Sham”

But with large parts of the country under the control of the opposition amid a continuous civil war, analysts warned that logistical services in the elections may be difficult.

The conflict that broke out after a coup in 2021, he claimed thousands of lives, explained millions, and no sign of completion. Several opponents of the army rejected the planned elections as a “trick.”

Participation was banned from participating in the Aung San Suu KK, and many other groups pledged to boycott the vote completely – which raised more doubts about the credibility of the exercise.
