Among the many rumors about the next iPhone 17 is that it will contain a new cameras’ design across the back of the body. It is a major change from the position of the upper corner that was on iPhone from the beginning. In particular, iPhone 17 Pro may have a large camera bar to accommodate the three lenses that extend across the back of the entire phone.
This tape may also have a role in cellular connection. Leaker Majin Bu said on Monday that Apple will transmit the cellular antenna on the iPhone 17 Pro around this large camera bar. The company takes a signal from the Apple Watch Ultra, which has a cellular antenna “near the structural and functional elements in its structure,” according to BU.
Apple usually places the air on the side edge of the iPhone. On the camera tape, the antenna will be “less likely to shield and overlap, improve performance in crowded environments and ensure stable connection during navigation,” according to BU. BU also indicates that this would enhance the performance of 5G MMWAVE waves, reduce cumin, improve efficiency, and improve the main body of the battery and thermal components.
BU specifically treats iPhone 17 Pro with this structural change. It is not clear whether the standard iPhone 17 or Air iPhon 17 will have the same antenna application. The camera on these phones is likely to be not large enough to accommodate an air antenna. Its Apple has provided its C1 cell mode with the iPhone 16E, but it is still expected that IPHONE 17 Pro is expected to use Qualcomm modem.
Although the current antenna application in the side frame of the phone has proven that it works completely, it had obstacles. Apple has faced problems with iPhone 4 and its air condition, which left customers not satisfied with cellular performance – to the extent that the problem was called antennas. Since then, the reliability and cellular performance of the iPhone have been constantly solid.
