At the moment of the crisis, we need a unified, progressive opposition to Donald Trump.
We began to see one of them formed in the streets and in polling boxes throughout the country: from the campaign of the mayor of New York City Zahran Mamdani focused on the ability to bear costs, to the societies that protect their neighbors from ice, to members of the Senate who oppose arms shipments to Israel.
The Democratic Party has an urgent choice to make it: Will it embrace a preliminary and common policy, or will it continue to insist on losing elections with elites and advisers outside the touch that happened to us here?
in NationWe know which side we are. Every day, we present the issue for a more democratic and equal world by defending progressive leaders, raising the movements that are fighting for justice, and exposing the few and companies that benefit at our expense. The independent press informs and enables the progressive across the country and helps to bring this policy to new readers ready to join the battle.
We need to help you continue this work. Will you donate to support? NationIndependent press? Each contribution goes to the awards, analysis, and award -winning comments.
Thank you for helping us to confront Trump and build a fair society that we know is possible.
sincerely,
Bhaskar Sunkara
